Dudette! That was a friggin funny story! Flashlight spelunkers on parade man. The dudes did seem to know a little bit about caving and equipment and had some fun doing it so it aint all bad. I bet that Mahan dude will grow up to be a caver if he finds other cavers around. But the freaking staff editor makes the story totally bogus in so many places I was ROTFLMAO after a few minutes into the read! This line: and the fact that caves can be home to many deadly species of animals such as the rattlesnake, scorpions, bears and bats, one of the most widely-known carriers of rabies. is a freakin classic! The National Speleological Society of Southern Nevada? WTF? I'm dyin over this one - ha ha ha! OK . I can breath again man.. Most of the rest of the story Mahan wrote aint too bad and maybe a few new cavers will read the thing and find the rest of us out there. But that staff editor writer dude(tte) needs work man! Sacha dude! Get yer facts right before you print it! Chuck(les)

Woa dudette! Aliens are cramping our bats style now! Totally bad Karma! And they are even leaving trash behind (I bet the UFOlogists would like to pick through that trash pile). Man they need to fly back to whatever galaxy they came from and leave our bats alone. Friggin Aliens. No wonder they are illegal! Chucky

Woah,
I've never been to an MVOR yet. Sounds totally righteous though! I gotta check the linkage out and see what's up wid the event. Man - is it me or is there way freakin too much to do in the fall? Maybe we all gotta get our socializin in before it gets cold and dark. Hey socializin with cavers is good Karma anytime! Dude I need like a social calendar this fall or somethin to keep up!

Dudes, I dunno about a cave event in the winter in KY? Sounds friggin cold to me! If you have the right gear I guess it would be alright tho. No bugs! That's gotta count for somethin! I hope they got a good bonfire at night! The presentations sound way cool though. Maybe I'll check it out but keep an eye on the weather before I make a move. Chill Chuckie

Oh Man! This is freakin bogus... So it looks like anybody from wherever with enough CA$H can grab up the NSS News and soak up all sorts of caving info they totally Don't need to have! Is every *^#@## thing for sale these days? Just goes to show ya any cave info can be had by anyone with connections or money these days. No friggin wonder so many cavers are Secret keepin' freaks! Dudes - IMHO this whole deal is wack ... Awesome linkage Rock! Dude, how'd you find this out?

Regarding the correction that the US Cavers Forum started in 2004 as posted earlier, I was under the impression the URL was actually used as the Huntsville Grotto Forum in 2004 and it continued to January 2005, when it went into a hiatus before being reincarnated in the summer of 2005 and changing its focus to a more national level. I don't recall that anyone here needs a caver discussion board cop? Do something useful and go have a donut.

MadRatdude, I hear ya bro. I kinda like the JCKS but if you don't need it you don't need it man. The whole idea is wack. It's totally bad to dis a long time member like you for choozin limited membership. No respect man and mega bad Karma points for that move. If we all all think positive we might focus enough good Karma to force the BOG to think logically when they vote. Kelly said it came from brainstormin. heh Do you have to have brains to participate in those? Dude if they want more members treat em like friggin human beings man instead of corporate employees. Duh! Again no respect and mega bad Karma points for that bogus move.

drbeaner dude, Man I hope some bu**munch doesn't hijack "guanonoggin" on there too. That would suck bigtime. But you know man some dudes have no life and prolly not enough brains to figure out a good handle for themselves. Bogus dude. You dish out bad Karma - you gotta be able to take bad Karma back!

When I post on one of these DB's I like my words to stay where I put them and not have them displayed on other web sites around the world........word for word. To me it's like the difference in writing a comment to the local news paper compared to my comments showing up on the national news. I must say though, it's fun to watch all the comments, crazy forum topics, and general banter from Russia, while sitting in front of my computer in Colorado............ I wonder if the signal travels East or West from here.........possibly circling the earth......or does it go in one direction and then back again. Check it out. you to can watch the action from Russia. tinyurl.com/gab98 MadRatDude, The internet is a web of connected computers a lot like a cave map. They just branch out everywhere. Your signal just bounces aruond at random until it hits where it is going and then it gets checked to make sure it got sent right. It's a freakin amazing thing man! I think there is some software to show you like a map of where your messages go as they cruise the web. You can google that for yourself dude. Thanks for the URL too! Good Karma man.

Woa chill out a bit Lynn, The Chuckster didn't mean to diss women at all! A "newbie dude" can be male or female and I don't have a problem with either one. ;D Shure nuff Mike Hood set the Chuckster straight anyhow. OVP's don't seem to last much longer than a coupla years. I really had no friggin clue about that dude. Thanks for clearin it up for me Mike! I wonder who (dude OR dudette ) will be the next OVP? The BOG picks one out right? The NSS needs a good one man so I hope they do a freakin good job pickin one out! That's gotta be a tough gig though... Good luck BOG dudes and dudettes!

Awesome linkage Sharon!
The pdf makes it totally easy to check out the candidates in advance. I'll be casting my vote for one of the dudes or dudettes as soon as I get a ballot.
All I gotta do is filter out the bogus peeps and pick a winna.
Way Good Karma ;D
