Orientation to Cave Rescue May 12-13 at Ohio Caverns in West Liberty, Ohio (approx. 30 miles NE of Dayton, OH) The Dayton Underground Grotto will host an Orientation to Cave Rescue on May 12-13, 2007 at Ohio Caverns. This is a great opportunity to be introduced into the world of cave rescue for both the novice and experienced caver alike. The orientation begins Saturday at 8am with classroom lectures and hands on activities on: incident command system, medical management, hypothermia, patient packaging, extreme situations, the cave environment, communications, media interaction, search, and more. On Sunday, practice your skills in a live mock rescue! This proves to be an exciting and educational weekend. Registration will end May 1st.
