Conservation officers rescue dog from cave HARRISON COUNTY Indiana conservation officers Jim Hash and Jim Schreck and O'Bannon State Park employee Chris Bell rappelled into a cave near Harrison Springs Road on Sunday afternoon to rescue a hunting dog that had fallen into a cavern Saturday night and couldn't get out. Annie, a 2-year-old black and tan coon dog, suffered a small bump on her head but was otherwise uninjured, said conservation officer Mark Farmer, the agency's spokesman. Annie's owner, Dave Hall, 41, of Grandview in Crawford County, credited a tracking device on the dog's collar with helping find where Annie had fallen 65 feet into the cave. The rescuers fashioned a makeshift harness to hoist Annie from the cave. Article
