Here is another video of a large section of cavity C0026 from our database which we have uncovered. It is an authentic museum piece that showed up from the dusty archives of Napoliunderground.org. The video was shot by Fulvio's brother, Oscar, January 17th, 1990 as he accompanied a group from the city of Naples, Italy's ' Department of the Underground'. In the video are, Nicola, Ulisse, Fulvio and several of our friends who participated in this trial run of a tour through the ancient Greco-Roman Bolla aqueduct to check its condition and to see how difficult it might be for average people to manage. The winding ancient aqueduct, with connecting narrow tunnels, huge cisterns, and reservoirs are the same that years later were developed by the private group Napoli Sotterranea and used for guided tours of the Naples underground. All that was used for illumination were the helmet and hand lights lights normally used for an underground inspection. As a result portions of the video are poorly lit, but this is really good in that it will give you a true idea of what it is like way down in the cavities beneath the city. TRANSLATOR'S NOTE: This is really cinema verite' in that you get a good look at what it is really like to explore the honeycomb down beneath Naples . . . and you don't have to understand the Neapolitan dialect to understand what is going on. Stay with this video for a while, it runs about 23 minutes, and you will get a real feel for what it is like waaay down there!
