Madison family still has questions as to how their house sank WAFF48News
Their troubles started in early November when they awoke to find their house on Boulton Court in Madison unexpectedly starting to crack, peel away from the curb and sink.
"The shingles are starting to separate at the top," says David, pointing out the cracks at the beginning.
It was found later, a cave some 60 feet below the earth was collapsing. A finding that's left them with more questions than answers.
"There's been a drought and the City of Madison has had to draw a lot of water out from underground, and instead of drawing it from the river, they did wells, and the reason my house collapsed, is because the water tables were lowered," says Pursifull.
