The Association for Mexican Cave Studies has a new Bulletin 15, "Adaptations to Cave Life in Decapods from Oaxaca." This is a reformatted complete PhD dissertation done at the University of Liverpool in 2003 by Luis Mejia-Ortiz. 169 pp, 8.5 x 11 inches, softbound. Price is $12. The AMCS has also prepared as PDF files on one CD facsimile scans of old AMCS biology Bulletins 3 through 6. These have been effectively unavailable for many years. They total 920 pages and contain many important papers on taxonomy and distribution. Titles are: 3. A Preliminary Bibliography of Mexican Cave Biology (1971) 4. Studies on the Cavernicole Fauna of Mexico (1971) 5. Studies on the Cavernicole Fauna of Mexico and Adjacent Regions (1973) 6. Studies on the Caves and Cave Fauna of the Yucatan Peninsula (1977) The price of the CD is $5. (Note: Paper copies of those old bulletins _may_be available from their printer Terry Raines, doing business as amcs.org. Experience indicates that this is rather theoretical, though.) Further details on these bulletins, including tables of contents, can be found on the AMCS web site www.amcs-pubs.org Order by check or money order from: AMCS PO Box 7672 Austin, Texas 78713 or use the PayPal button on the web site (at bottom of the "how to order" page) to pay. Add $3 for surface mail for first book or CD, $1 for each additional, to U.S. addresses. Double the shipping charge for foreign orders. -- Bill Mixon AMCS Editor
