www.bhphotovideo.com/ Part of NYC's Camera Row. Great prices and fast service. Don't try to make an online purchase between sundown Friday and Saturday, though.

Goodwill and thrift stores. No kidding! I just found a brand new flashgun, guide number 80 @ ISO 100, for $6. That will do me nicely for yet another slave flash. You can find some real gems on eBay too. But overall, I've been really happy with one particular online store - Beach Camera. My two most recent camera purchases (new cameras) were from them. www.beachcamera.com/shop/home.aspx

Yes NZ Goodwill etc can be a fine source of used usable gear. Yard sales are also good sources of things such as flash bulbs etc. Good links everyone!

It is truely amaising what people actually give to Goodwill. Not too long ago the Williams Canyon Project released a book about the project complete with cave maps and discriptions on how we build our gates. Lot's of history of the canyon and project are contained in the book. Mike was at Goodwill one day and found the book on their shelf for $2.00. It normally sells for $20.00 at our grotto meetings. So much for keeping it in cavers hands and out of circulation to the general public.
