Hey any one on the forum that is from Kentucky. I would love to know how we could get the state to make a plate that would be something like cave or spelunking specific.
I know I have seen Ham radio plate, Nature plates and I personally have a Volunteer Fire Fighter Tag. I would love to see how we could get a cave tag.
Anyone have any ideas on this?

Wow, so are you planning to trade your Volunteer Fire Fighter tag in for a Caving tag? Hum, I don't now the full process for state plates but many cavers have personalized license plates. Tony, You probably would have to start by contacting your states license department and ask for a contact there. You would have to show them that enough cavers or cave interested people would like to have a cave plate before they would go through the expense and bother I imagine. If you go into it with your homework done they will listen better I am sure. Get a petition signed off my as many people as you can, get the right contact people in the license bureau, and maybe even suggest a design for the plate before you ask them to do it.
Good luck!

This might not be of help for the caving license plate but here is a link to all the license plate categories for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. And here's the link to a cool Personalized License Plates Look Up. You can check to see if the license plate selection you want is available and view how a personalized license plate would look. Give it a whorl! Looking up caving terms for car tags was fun!
