Happy Thanksgiving Cavers! I imagine most cavers are doing the 'real' family thing for Thanksgiving Day but do any cavers actually have any Thankgiving Caving plans for after the feast?

I am sure my brothers and I will discuss a trip Thursday evening at Mom's. We may take the boys to Dykes Cave here that is it the water isn't up. The Dykes cave is right by a river and it if rains alot, it funnels right inside it.
We may even go somewhere else here, but we have to watch where we go, do to the hunting in the area.

Looks like several cavers have Turkey Day caving plans. We haven't any caving plans yet because we will have a lot of family here for the feast BUT we will try to sneak in a caving trip if possible. Hummm, so lets see, what could our excuses possibly be? - I just noticed the chess pie went to my bums so now with the extra padding I need to go butt caving. ;D
- Don't blame me because I have to go caving - blame the Casserole!
- But, but we HAVE to go caving to Exercise Off those Turkey calories!
There's got to be other excuses we could use.......

Excuses excuses... I can't go caving on Thanksgiving because: Turkey ruins my night vision. Pumkin Pie makes me afraid of the dark! Eating too much hurts my knees.

I'm stuck going to the same caves I visit all the time. Not that much limestone in this state. Most are located up high in the mountains and the snow season has started, so access is tough to nill right now.
I'm going to Moby's tonight, Breezeway on Friday, and back to Moby's on Sunday.

My girlfriend, her son, and myself took her granddaughter on her first caving trip last night, and she absolutely loved it and did a great job to boot! Probably won't be able to fit any in today (tonight, on the other hand.... ), but am going down to central Georgia tomorow to help out with a clean-up and meet an on-line buddy, and hopefully will be able to scrape together a trip this weekend. Ah, the joys of living in the heart of TAG!!!! (but why didn't I start this 30yrs ago!!!) Dane

I take my daughter caving and I've been tinkering with the idea of putting together a children's trip once or twice a year just to give little ones a chance to cave with someone closer to their own size. Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!
