BAT BIOLOGIST BHE Environmental, Inc., an environmental consulting company providing services to clients nationwide, has openings in our Cincinnati office for full-time and project related Bat Biologists. Accurate bat identification skills (previous experience with M. sodalis preferred), tree identification, map reading skills, radio telemetry experience, and ability to adapt to variable working conditions are a must. This position should be able to lead teams during mist net surveys for bats and other related studies along streams, right-of-ways, roads, and other flight corridors. Other responsibilities include developing technically sound solutions in cases where clients face challenges posed by compliance with various regulations. The regulatory context in which you will focus will include, but will not be limited to the Endangered Species Act, the Clean Water Act, and the National Environmental Policy Act. Critical components of your position will be data collection, management, and analysis. Applicants must be current on rabies vaccinations or willing to obtain the vaccinations.
