Ghoori-Ghale cave in KermanshahGhoori-Ghale located in Paveh, 86 kilometers from Kermanshah province, is Iran's seventh natural-national cave and is one of the largest and most glorious water caves in Asia. Archeologists say this teapot shaped cave is 65 million years old and its water depth is 3,140 meters. 550 meters of the cave was discovered by American, British, and French speleologists from 1957 to 1984, and in 1989 a further 1,340 meters were discovered by the Iranian team. The cave is made up of two stages, the first 500 meters long consisting of two halls, one similar to a camel's hump and the other to Mother Mary. Full Article
