Archaeological society presents Tainter CaveOn Wednesday, March 21, at 7 p.m., Rock River Archaeology will hold its meeting at the DNR Service Center on Highway 28 between Horicon and Mayville. The featured March speaker will be Kevin Leszcynski. He was given an opportunity in 1999 to participate in a rock art conservation workshop at an archaeological site named "Tainter Cave." This dry sandstone cave found in southwestern Wisconsin is one of the largest rock art sites in the Upper Midwest. Leszcynski was in charge of photographing the images found in the cave in order to document them. Leszcynski will share his experience and show pictures of the site. Rock River Archaeology's meetings are always free and open to the public Article
