Grazier protecting Indigenous art
A grazier in Queensland's central-west is playing a leading role in preserving Indigenous art in the region.
Robyn Adams has received federal funding to fence off and preserve part of her property, south of Jericho, where significant cave paintings and drawings have been found.
She says it is important to protect the site.
"Because it has an Aboriginal heritage there it's very important it's shared with the wider community there in that aspect," she said.
"Although the direct descendants who did the art work aren't here, it's still a very important connection for both the Aboriginal people and us.
"It's been there a long time and it's important that what we've got left is preserved."
