Jumper suffers spinal injuriesNovember 06, 2005 A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital with suspected spinal injuries after jumping 15 metres into a blowhole in Sydney's northern beaches today. Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter spokeswoman Amanda Donohoe said the 24-year-old felt immediate pain when she jumped into the Warriewood Blowhole, about 1pm (AEDT). Ms Donohoe said the woman was believed to have landed feet first when she jumped to swim through a sea cave to friends. "She's hit rock when she's jumped and managed to drag herself through the sea cave," she said. She was stabilised on the rocks before being airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital with suspected spinal injuries and abrasions. News.com.au www.news.com.au/story/0,10117,17158140-29277,00.html
