It is just not a pleasant day today to be caving in the icy rain but we managed to do so anyway even though we had no plans to go caving. So here's our short Caving Trip Report. We received a call from fellow cavers Paul Snook and Steve ? this morning and then we wound up meeting them at a country store to go over our topographic maps. From the information they relayed, our maps and experience locating caves in the area we speculated that the cave they were talking about might already be a known Tennessee Cave Survey (TCS) cave. But what the hey, we were already damp and in the neighborhood so we went went out to see the cave and to get a GPS reading. Anyway, it had been ten or so years since we had been to the cave and our memories of the cave were a bit vague but as we suspected it was John Allen Cave. We spent some time in checking out the cave and the cool drinking water supply set up. Then afterward we went by the Shoffner Cave property and at the time we decided we would all route for home. That concluded our short unexpected day of caving in the cold icy rain.

Glad to see someone was taking advantage of the foul weather and going caving Lynn.
