The webmaster obviously put some work into this website, but should probably have run spell check through it before uploading. Under the geology link, there's a big long explanation about "krast". Then you get lots of nice information about "speleotherms", "fromations", "vretebrates", "anmphibians", etc... My favorite bit is the terminology link: ;D Cave Terminology Cave Room Sizes Very Small room: a room just large for one person to be in. Small room: a room about the size a bed room or dining room. Medium room: a room about the size of a house. Large room: a room anything larger then whats above. Not to rag on this too much - it does have some nice photos and a fairly good equipment list. More power to them!

It sounds like American Grotto is more interested in ' caving ' than ' spelling '. I believe they have their priorities right! ;D

Their enthusiasm should be applauded - yes. I just find it a little distracting when some otherwise excellent and informative pages on cave biology/geology/speleology have a ton of errors through them. Such is my burden being a natural-born critic, I suppose...

These people are located 10 miles from me, and a 40 minute drive from two St. Louis area grottos (I drive 30 minutes). I don't think he's done his homework in getting hooked up with cavers, and being 10 minutes more down the road is a poor excuse. OTOH, if one meets with him after he teaches at an AoG church, (per his website) perhaps he wouldn't fit in with 'normal ' cavers.

So can you define a normal caver? LOL, I thought all caver's were a bit abnormal in one way or another.

Charles, I noticed that when you click on a picture, it doesn't enlarge it when it reloads it for single viewing. It just stays the same.

Sorry about the pic thing I only get 100mb. of storage so I reduce the pictures to a smaller size F.Y.I. I have used about 9mb I also use the space for another web page I use for the class I teach (it's a part you don't see) If you want larger ones you will have to contact Jason our photographer www.adolphsonphotography.comThanks Charles @ American Grotto

Maybe if you started with a smaller picture on the web page, it wouldn't seem so odd to get the same size picture showing up when you click on it. I thought that's what the feature was all about. Just a suggestion.
