The largest cave in the world is in Friuli Venezia Giulia The “Grotta Gigante” has been open to the public since 1908 and it is big enough to contain Saint Peter’s Basilica Trieste – One of the most picturesque tourism attractions in the world is found in Friuli Venezia Giulia and it is the Grotta Gigante (Giant Cave). This enormous cave is on the Italian side of the Trieste Karst, the plateau which is near the city of Trieste. It was entered into the Guinness World Record book in 1995 as world’s largest tourist cave and it is vast enough to contain Saint Peter’s Basilica. It was probably formed when the separating diaphragm of two overlapping rivers collapsed so originating the Large Cave of the Grotta Gigante. This caused the current aspect of the cave because the enormous mass of debris obstructed the deepest part where most certainly the waters continued on through other wells and galleries to then flow into the Adriatic Sea. This large cave has a dome vault and it is a 130m long (280m max.), 65m wide and 107m high ellipsoid with a volume of 600,000 mc. Full Article

Sarawak is NOT a tourist cave. The website specifies that the chamber is in a tourist cave.
If you put enough modifiers on a characteristic, that characteristic can be a world's record.
