We are interested in finding a student or researcher who would like to study the effects of noise on the outflight of the Brazilian free-tailed bats (Tadarida brasiliensis). If someone is interested in helping us study this, we are willing to apply for funding through the park's Adopt a Bat program (which could partially or fully fund the study, dependent on cost). We have ideas of how the study could be undertaken and incorporated into the interpretive programs that are presented each night during the bat outflight.
If you or anyone you know may be interested in this, please contact me or feel free to forward this email. I don't know if there is time to get something set up this year, but it would be great if we could.
