Kentucky Bat Project to pay volunteers:
Attention all cavers!
Love caving? Like bats? Have some free time on your hands? Need money? Get paid to cave. Yes, that's right! We are looking for four seasoned cavers who have some time during November – January (dates to be determined) to spend four weeks out in the hills of Kentucky caving for pay. The rate is $10.00 hour and all expenses will be paid.
Caving experience is necessary, familiarity with the back roads, caves and landowners of Kentucky a plus. Previous experience with bats is not necessary. One week of paid training will be provided. Want to know more? Contact Cat (Whitney) Kennedy at Cat@oztotl.com.
Can't spend four weeks with us but want to help out? We are in need of field volunteers to help us with this project also. Tasks may include taking cave temperature or humidity, looking for roost stains or bat guano, filling out census forms, talking to locals, and other miscellaneous duties as necessary. If this sounds interesting and you'd like to be put on our mailing list, please contact Cat at the above email address.
Thanks, Cat Kennedy Cat@oztotl.com
