Registration reminder and Cave-In Work Weekends Information: 30th Annual TAG Fall Cave-In By: Nina Martin (Bethlehem, Georgia) geargirl@alltel.net Hey Cavers!! You have until September 1st to pre-register for the 30th TAG Fall Cave-In. You can go to www.tagfallcavein.org and get the pre-registration form to save $10.00 and if you are one of the first 300 people to pre-register early then you will receive a cool lanyard. This isn't just another TAG Fall Cave-In, this is the 30th you don't want to miss it! One more thing, we all know that some of the best time's before the Cave-In is the work weekends! So, the dates for the fire building are September 8th/9th we will provide breakfast, lunch and dinner for those that work on that weekend. If it should rain we will do the fire the following weekend. Then we will have one more work weekend and that will be September 22nd and 23rd we will provide breakfast and lunch for workers. These dates will be announced again but please come and join us, remember we couldn't have done it this long without a little help! Thanks, Nina Martin ~ 30th TAG Fall Cave-In Chair geargirl@alltel.net (Reposted with permission of author.)

I'll most definitely be there. I sent in my pre-reg in July. It is only a couple of weeks away now and I'm looking forward to going. When are folks planning to arrive? I may not come up till Thursday night, due to having one in school this year. Don't forget that the upper entrance to Sauta Cave will be open on Sunday afternoon October 7. The cave is only open one day a year due to the bat population.

I'm planning to arrive on site around 3pm Thursday. Big green truck with a pop-up camper in tow. I hope to take my newbies on a caving trip Friday morning and rappelling Friday afternoon. They are going to be some tired little puppies........

The Cave-In was a lot of fun with over 1100 cavers in attendance this year. The lighting of the bonfire after the announcement of door prizes was, as always, a highlight of the event. You tube has some cool video's that were taken during the Cave-In.
