On a positive note, did anyone read appendix A of the upcoming convention BOG meeting minutes? www.caves.org/nss-business/reports/aug06/agenda.htmlI believe that this is the first BOG meeting to be hosted by an NSS sponsered project, but I could be wrong. Rick Rheinhart did a most excellent job of putting this proposal together and deserves a big round of applause for taking this on. I think the BOG will be pleasantly surprised with the whole affair, if they accept the proposal.

I read the BOG Meeting proposal Dan. The location sounds nice, and including pictures of the area was an interesting idea. Rick did a fine job making arrangements and putting the proposal together.
Are you planning to assist with hosting duties if the proposal is accepted?

Sharon, I'm sure I'll be involved in some manner. More than likely, leading trips, and setting up the facility for the meeting. We have held the classroom portion of several rescue seminars, in that area. I've been in charge of setting up for that and I doubt this will be much different. Of coarse, I didn't do it alone and the project has a lot of talanted individuals to help pull this meeting off. I'm sure it will be a large group effort by project members. We all work rather nicely together when it comes to this type of project. I noticed Rick's reference to our local weather being generally warm and sunny. That's true, but I wouldn't count out a snowstorm, here in March. Our last measurable snow this year was May 9th. I've also seen some heavy snow storms roll through in the morning with sunny skies melting in off in the afternoon. ;D You just never know what the weather is going to be like in this city. If you don't like it..................give it a couple hours.

Good Dan, I think you will enjoy helping host the meeting. We (grotto) hosted a BOG meeting in November 2004 and had fun doing it.

This might be a good incentive for you and Lynn to run for the BOG. What better excuse to come and get a personal tour of Williams Canyon.
