The 2006 SERA Winter Business Meeting will be located in Otey Hall (the church building just next to the college) in Sewanee, Tennessee the weekend of February 18-19. Dinner will follow the meeting at the same place that evening. Maureen Handler has allowed the use of her place for camping on Friday and Saturday night. A cave clean up will be held on Sunday. A brief update:
Following Saturday's SERA Winter Business Meeting, the SERA Karst Task Force is sponsoring a roadside cleanup on Orme Mt. Road, located in the Russell Cave Watershed, on Sunday, February 19.

Hello Fellow Grttos and Fellow Cavers, This is just a short note to say Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from the Central Alabama Grotto and to announce/remind some of you that the Central Alabama Grotto will be hosting the SERA Winter Business Meeting on February 18, 2006 and the SERA Summer Cave Carnival on June 1 - 4, 2006. The SERA Winter Business Meeting will be held at Otey Hall, next to the College of the South (Sewanee, Tennessee) on Saturday, February 18, 2006. The banquet will follow that evening at the same location. Nearby hotels/motels are available and/or you might want to camp with us for free! Free camping approximately 12 miles from the meeting location will have two saunas, one hottub, and a campfire to boot! Camping is available Friday, February 17 and Saturday, February 18. On Sunday, February 19, 2006 a SERA Karst Task Force cave cleanup will also take place. More information and registration forms are available at the CAG Website: www.caves.org/grotto/cagThe 55th Annual SERA Summer Cave Carnival will take place on June 1 - 4, 2006. Buck's Pocket State Park near Scottsboro, Alabama will be the host site. Some water and electric camping is still available on a first come, first serve basis by reserving. You may call 256-223-2228 and ask for Michael to see if they are still available and reserve. Four days of caving, fellowship, camping, vendors, and fun! Make plans now to attend!
