Voluntary Cave Closed in Rockcastle County Ky

Received and email from Deb about some Rockcastle County caves...



Winter bat counters this weekend found small numbers of Indiana bats roosting with other species in both Mullins Spring Cave and Sinks of the Roundstone (aka Mullins Station Cave) in Rockcastle County, KY.

Responsible cavers will consider these caves closed for visitation until after April 15th. Please pass the word widely. Feel free to contact me with questions.

Gosh, there sure are a whole lot of caves being closed lately.

Some one please let me know who is standing behind Cavers to make sure there continues to be reasonable access for responsible caving like stated in most Cave Management Plans.
