20k yrs to complete cave paintingsLONDON: European scientists claim to have discovered that prehistoric cave paintings actually took up to 20,000 years to complete. Earlier, it was only believed that many works found across Europe were produced over generations. Now, a team led by University of Bristol has revealed that the paintings were crafted over thousands of years, using uranium series dating, a technique developed by geologists to date rock formations.
