We are having a blast!!!!!! Not to toot my own horn or anything but I found out yesterday that I was the only one out of 24 level 3's to get a perfect score on the entry level check offs. We just got back from running a highline across a small river. That my wife be the pt. She is pumped!!!!

Sounds good Rodney! Yeap, IMHO, it is best to get a perfect score rather than perhaps a failing score when training in cave rescue.
Now how did you talk your wife into being the victim? Is she also taking NCRC training?

The media apparently found the cave rescue training. Here's a bit of the article from WDBJ7.com and a Video is available on the web site. Rodney was that you in the video? Underground project: cave rescue techniques taught in Giles CountyThe National Cave Rescue Commission has been literally camping out all week gearing up for its New River Cave seminar in Giles County. NCRC instructors simulated realistic rescue emergencies Friday for local agencies and cavers from around the world. Participants were shown the right way to use special equipment in this unique environment. To reach the cave, they had to climb a steep mountain with loose rocks overhead.

Here's another write up on the week's activities: Cave Emergency PreparationJun 22, 2007 Members of the National Cave Rescue Commission have been camped out at the Roanoke Valley Regional Fire and E-M-S Training Center all week. Today they put their training to the test. "It's as real as we can make it. We have fake patients who have gone into the cave this morning for the students to locate," the training coordinator, Steve Hudson, said. Craig Robertson, a Roanoke County Fire and Rescue Worker, is a part of this week's training. Article

Nah I was not in the video. I was the 2nd team in & only came out for about 45 min when I brought out the victim I found. Then they sent me back in as a Evac team leader for the other pt. Only me & 2 other cavers had the longest time under ground according to IC.
