Hi all. New to the forums... I've been caving with my daughters (now 14 and 12) for a few years now -- in Virginia and Tennessee. We're doing a family trip to Bermuda in mid-June and I find myself wondering whether people know of any dry-ish wild caves to which access is possible. Not looking for anything technical or complicated -- just something a bit more fun and authentic than a commercial cave! Thanks for any suggestions you might have! --Eric Muller, Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Welcome to the forum. Wish I could help you with some first hand Bermuda information.........heck......I wish I was going toooooooo. Here is a link to a couple of show caves. www.bermuda.com/attractions/caves/From there you could ask the tour guides if they know of any they could take you to or point you in the right direction. They might be able to tell you who to get in touch with as far as a local club. I'm not sure if there is a speleo societythere, but I wouldn't doubt it. Here's another link for you. Scroll down to Southhampton Parish where it mentions limestone which usually equals caves. Further down is another pairsh which mentions caves. Both seem open to the public to explore. www.moon.com/planner/bermuda/tours/onthewildside.htmlWe'd love to here a trip report when you get back.
