This is an important opportunity for cavers and cave loving people to give to great organizations in your local areas of the U. S. to help protect caves and cave resources from developers, vandals, etc. Many caves hold scientific treasures as well as important cultural or aesthetic contents. We can be part of the solution rather than the problem. Our donations are usually the only means available to protect caves. Do your part by giving to the conservancies of your choice. Please read about your local cave conservation group and donate today! The caves thank you!

Let's get this Blitz kicking! Dr. Beaner and I pledge to donate to the Southeastern Cave Conservancy scci.org The SCCi has several fantastic Donation Programs to choose from; Buy a Piece of the Cave, Adopt an Endangered Grey Bat, Buy the Bottom of the Pit, Buy an Acre of the Preserve. So far we haven't decided which donation program we will pick. Any program recommendations will be gladly accepted. All of the mentioned conservation groups are not only helping to protect various cave and karst resources but they are also preserving the 'habitat of cavers' with their efforts. It is my theory that our caver habitat is diminishing year by year. Therefore, we cavers should also be considered an endangered species. One day our habitat may be so rare that cavers may have no place to cave other than the cave preserves protected for cavers by the Cave Conservancies. Please consider a generous donation to your favorite conservancy and help protect the subterranean habitat that we cavers need to survive.

I'm making a donation to the Southeastern Cave Conservancy (my local cave Conservancy) and a small donation to Rockcastle Karst Conservancy.

Wow, looks like there are 20 cave conservancies listed in the other thread. I think I'll pick a couple close to me and send them some money. We have talked about starting a conservancy locally, but that's all it's been up to this point. I didn't realize how many conservancies there are across the nation. Thanks for putting this list together Sharon and Lynn!!

Just a quick reminder that the Cave and Karst Conservancy Fundraiser runs thru March 15. Support your local Cave or Karst Conservancy with a donation if you can!
