Feds say beetle not at risk

The agency noted that plan Thursday in its annual reappraisal of hundreds of species possibly eligible to be listed as endangered.

The other species removed from the list of candidates Thursday were the basalt daisy in Washington and the Surprising Cave beetle in Kentucky.
