Clear Creek Canyon Fall Injures Hiker May 19, 2006 GOLDEN, Colo. -- A would-be cave explorer was recuperating Friday after she fell while hiking to find the cavern. The 19-year old girl fell near Tunnel One along U.S. Highway 6 in Clear Creek Canyon, in Jefferson County. Her hiking group was looking for Fault Cave that they had been to before. She went ahead of the group and was hurt when she fell 10 to 15 feet. Rescue crews had to hike up and bring her down by stretcher. The highway was closed for about five hours until crews could bring the girl down the steep and rugged hillside. www.thedenverchannel.com/news/9242863/detail.html
