Cave Seeks Comments On Fee Changes Announcements were made on July 30, 2007 that Mammoth Cave National Park is seeking comments on proposed fee increases, which would take effect in March 2008. The Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act of 2004 requires that the public have opportunities to participate in the development of, or change to a recreation fee established under the Act. “Here at Mammoth Cave, we welcome public involvement and want to know what our neighbors, visitors and fellow tourism professionals think about our operation,” said Patrick Reed, Superintendent for the park. Most of the changes would increase an adult cave ticket by $1 to $3 per ticket, with the exception of the "Wild Cave Tour," which would increase from $48 to $60 per ticket.
