Big changes coming for Lost River Cave Friends of Lost River Cave and Valley plan expansion Lost River Cave and Valley sees more than 77,000 visitors annually, and with improvement plans on the table, it should be able to better able to accommodate those visitors and possibly more. The cave plans to build a new visitor center with an interactive theater and museum exhibits, and a new entrance off Dishman Lane for the 68-acre property, executive director Rho Lansden told Bowling Green City Commissioners earlier this week. There goes the neighborhood. I wonder why people always think improving a property by adding buildings will make it better? Part of what is cool about Lost River Cave is that it is only 'semi-improved' right now--and is a bit of weedy overground Kentucky in the middle of the city.
The whole world is turning into an English garden. How sad.
