A repost from Cavediggers forum. At 4MB a bit hefty for some to download, but I thought folks with a fast download might like to see the map. Alberta's Castleguard Cave Map now online The navigable PDF map of Alberta's Castleguard Cave is now available as a 4 MB download from the Cancaver website. www.cancaver.ca/pubs2/CanBooks.htmThe digital map results from cooperation between Parks Canada and the Alberta Speleological Society. Here's a short online Parks article on the map: www.pc.gc.ca/canada/pn-tfn/itm2-/2006/2006-09-05_e.aspThe master map is nearly six metres long, so this format includes 58 letter sized sheets that are easy to navigate through using several thousand links. Pass along the Cancaver web link to others who may be interested, as lots of people have been involved in the exploration and mapping of the cave since the 60s, yet most have never seen the maps all put together. Much thanks to Taco van Ieperen who compiled 30 years of notes and cranked out the pencil sketch. Remapping trips to add detail continue irregularly. Corrections, questions or comments are welcome. Enjoy. Dan President, Alberta Speleological Society www.caving.ab.ca/ dan.green@telus.net
