National Geographic has a cool looking Carabiner Clip Watch with LED Micro-light. I am just not sure how durable/functional it might be for cavers. tinyurl.com/am9p3

Well Lynn, it does look cool, but I too would be curious as to how well it would hold up under caving conditions. I've never worn a watch while caving, though I've caved with folks that do. Here is a link to the Sierra Trading Post website. Not sure about any stand out stocking stuffers, but for those "avoid the crowd" type Christmas shoppers, it offers a reasonable alternative. www.sierratradingpost.com/The Bargain Barn area frequently has very low prices on polypropylene and other items used by cavers or other outdoor enthusiasts. www.sierratradingpost.com/dept_special.ASP?wc=true&special_type=bargain_barn

Thanks for the links Sharon. The watch is like a luxury item to me. What I really liked was the thoughts of the LED Micro-light. Yeap, one more back up light could come in handy! . ;D

Ah...yes, I understand. It's the curse of the caver, another light source always catches my attention too. Manufacturers have got our number now. They know if they put an LED light on a product, consumers will find a use for it. ;D
