Rainy cold days when not caving can be good for catching up on reading about caves, drawing cave maps, inspecting cave gear, surfing the web for caving info and photos, and all sorts of cave related things! Don't despair there's plenty of caver activities always there for the taking!

I think if there were nasty rainy snowy sleety days in TAG just now, I'd be down on my knees with a quick prayer thanking God it was raining!

I've been praying for rain for months. We got some 2 weeks ago and as fate would have it, my roof has developed a leak. Now I am sort of praying that it rains everywhere except over my house until I get it fixed. $5700 too. Right at Christmastime too. What's a guy to do? I can't win for losin'.

What is there to do on nasty wet days? Go to Flat Cave. The cave leaks like a sieve and has four or five of the muddiest little pits I've ever climbed out of. You get pretty much slimed and then when you come out the rain helps wash the mud off as you hike back to the trucks. ;D Graveleye, I feel your pain. Had a new roof put on this summer. Not from leakage, but storm damage earlier in the year (fallen tree, hail damage). However, the drought worked in my favor for the new roof. No rain, and the heat helps set the seal on the shingles (or so I am told).

I know what you mean. Our 2 yr old metal roof sprang a leak last year and it took 5 visits and 10 phone calls to get it caulked up in the right spot. Companies do crappy work these days and don't stand behind it worth a flip. I think I could have done a better job myself. Good luck with your leak! I've been praying for rain for months.
