I just finished reading "Trapped in a Cave!:A true story" by Deborah Morris. I don't know who liked the book more, myself or my two kids. It took us a few nights of reading for a bedtime story but we made through the all the way from the 'camping in West Virginia' to the 'Rescue'
Spending five days in a cave called 'New Trout' with out food or water because of old carbite. What an adventure.
Anyone else read it?
Does anyone else know of more books similar to this book. I would like read more to the kids. They really kept up with the characters well. Even my little cave rat Shawn remembered what happened in the last chapters when I asked them.

If you go to www.speleobooks.com/catindex.html Emily Davis and Mike Warner have a section of kids books. You can also call, ask for Emily, tell her your kid's ages and interests and ask for recommendations. She's really good at that--having run this business for longer than she likes to admit. Nice lady.

Hey Tony.....check this book out..."All the Dark Places" It was written by J. Allan Bosworth...published in 1968. A fabulous story for the children, yourself and ALL cavers. It should be required reading for ALL cavers! I fell in love with this story at 10 years old, and have read it several times since then. Google it or check ebay. Emily at Speleobooks may have it or can get it. I guarentee you and your family and caving freinds will love this book! Anyone out there read this??? Tell us how great the story is!

Thanks Cave Mud, I am telling my wife about it as I am reading and we plan on trying to get us a copy. I know the kids was glued to my every word when I read the last book about the caving and I know they would like anything to do with caving.
I think it is they can relate to it after being inside a cave.
