Any one know if the TCS or SCCI are good clubs to become involved in. Also how do you become a member. Thanks NSS#59052

Hey Jonah, Both are good groups. The Tennessee Cave Survey is dedicated to the survey and mapping of Tennessee caves and the Southeastern Cave Conservancy acquires and manage caves. To join the SCCi www.scci.org/membership.html Do you survey? Do you know any TCS members yet? TCS membership requires you to have the signature of two TCS members and two TCS Officers.

No I don't know how to survey but I would love to learn how. I love the history associated with caves and heard the TCS was a good organization. But I don't know any members or officers. One guy I emailed there said there were not any members in Greeneville TN. Thanks for tell me about the SCCI, and TCS.

Get hooked up with a local grotto first. To find a grotto near you click HERE. Grottos are a great starting point for new cavers because members can help you learn safe caving practices, conservation, take you on caving trips, etc, etc.
