"The Dordogne/Lot area is one of the greatest cave diving areas in the world. The three rivers, Dordogne, Lot and Céle in the central, southern region of France offer over a dozen classic cave dives including some of the longest and deepest "siphons" in the country, if not Europe: Emergence du Russel; La Doux de Coly; Trou Madam; Gouffre de Cabouy; Gouffre de St Sauveur; Fontain de St George; Oeil de la Doue are some of the evocative names given to these sites that are peppered throughout the region." Here is a cool link to cave diving in the Dordogne region of France (a very beautiful place with plenty of caves as well). Enjoy! www.scubatravel.co.uk/cave/Here's some more stuff.. ;D www.snoopyloop.com/General_Menu%20Uk%20250307.html

Hello I'm a french cave diver and I'm agree with you. (I'm sorry for my poor english) We've many caves and many sumps in France. Small and muddy but also big with clear water. Every year, many european divers come in French sumps to dive the beautifulest sump of the country. Every year, caves explorers realise many discovery. Many dives at 180 to 200 meters deep, and to more 5000 meters from the entrance. A great place to be....! You can found some informations here : www.plongeesout.com/and take a look to beautiful pictures on : r.huttler.free.fr/and www.photo-sub.com/Best regards. pedeseigne bullesmaniacs.org

Welcome pedeseigne, Your english is fine. Thanks for posting all the nice links on cave diving in France. Lynn and I visited the Dordogne in 2001 working on Grotto 16 archaeology project near the township of CÉNAC-et-SAINT-JULIEN. It is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. We are not cave divers but we enjoyed some of the air filled caves in the area. A cavers paradise! Please tell us more about your caving and cave diving adventures. Thanks again for posting your message.
