Hi, my name is Jennifer. I live in Nashville. I have recently found a new passion and that is caving. I am a beginner and I'm hoping I can meet people to teach me everything I need to know. I haven't had the chance to explore many caves. I have taken a couple of wild tours in Show caves. The only private cave I have been in was the Bell Witch Cave. I met the owners and they allowed me to go in with some other caver's that was there looking for additional passage ways. If anybody wants to allow a rookie to tag along I'm all up for it.

That sounds great. I would more than love to. I looked at some pictures of Cedar Ridge Crystal Cave. I have to visit it. I'm so excited to finally be able to meet other people with the same interest. I only have one friend willing to go exploring with me. She'll be joning soon too.

Yes, Cedar Ridge is a beauty! It is a small cave but full of formations! BTW Nashville Grotto has an Executive Committee meeting this Thursday night at 7 p.m. If you are anxious to meet other cavers - you can always drop by that meeting. Unfortunately we won't be attending the Exec Meeting but if you want to go, I will PM you directions.

What goes on at the meetings? Mainly at the Exec meeting the Nashville officer's conduct the business of the grotto - but there is some fellowship too. Also I didn't mention it earlier but another grotto you might want to visit is Southport Chronic Cavers Grotto

Thank you for such a warm welcome. I really didn't expect everyone to be so willing to help me learn everything I need to know. I have viewed a couple of different grottos. I'm just trying to decide which one would work best with my scedule. I hope I get to meet some of you real soon.
