We went to the Dykes cave again on Feb 28, 2008. My partner from work and another friend of ours went with us to push a part of the cave we seen the last trip. Down the main channel and to a cut to the left or south we crawled back until we got to the tunnel area. There we proceeded further back through the tunnel to the open room where we was the last time we had been there. We checked a few more passages off this area. One was a little tight on me, but I still decided to attempt to squeeze on through. After getting turned and almost standing on my head I stuck my head through the hole and then I could see what I thought was water. Looking around while I was down there I found a small rock and gave it a small toss and sure enough I heard the 'kerplunk' of water. I still think we could have got in there but being the time of year it is, I didn't want to take a chance of getting soaked and having to walk back in the cold 20 degree air. My buds loved the rest of the trip,we pushed a few more side passages and found a lot of cool formations. I was about to take some pictures when I realized I didn't have the memory card in the camera. Boy what another boo boo I had made. At least this time I didn't forget my helmet. We will for sure be going back there to do that possible underground stream or water pool and see where that might lead. Hope to have more stories soon. Sorry no pictures this time. Cave hard...
