I don't think DC is a state, but I bet there are lots of caverns and catacombs up there. Oh the secrets they would hold as well, if the walls in those passages could talk.
Some I am sure we wouldn't want to know about.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that every state has at least one cave. How many have 1000 or more???

I think you're right cavemud. I believe I read that in an article in the NSS News written by Cato and Susan Holler a few months back. I'd forgotten about that till you mentioned it.
Good change of topic....Why don't you start a new thread on how many states have more than 1000 caves?

DC is not a state. They have caves, but if you talk about them, they have to kill you. Or you go to Guantanamo (on la isla de Cuba, which also has caves.) Puerto Rico (not a state, but they have a representative in Congress) also has plenty of caves.

Heck Wikipedia says " Crystal Grottoes is the only show cave in the U.S. state of Maryland" so it is for sure -- Maryland has at least one cave.

Maryland has a bunch of caves, but most of them aren't open to the public. Gawd I hate this state more often than not.
There are some caves in Wash DC in the Rock Creek park area, but I don't think they anything major
