Well I was able to contact some great people over at the Lonestar Preserve in KY to help me out with a cave trip for some students over a weekend in early December but now its time for me to start planning our Spring Break Trip as well. I happened to meet the director of the Outdoor Recreation program at the University of Alabama and he said he had just done an amazing trip to northern Alabama, Jackson County I believe. So I've got about 9 students who would be traveling with me from NW Ohio who I'd really like to teach about caves. We'd have a week down there, so perhaps a bit of hiking would be involved too since I'm not sure they would enjoy being underground as much as me. So would there be any TAG members looking to do some caving from the 4-10th of March this spring? And perhaps provide a little educational piece on the area as well? I'm hoping to have the trip planned and set to go before I leave for Christmas break, around December 15th.
Thank ya,
Jerome

Well I live in Atlanta, but I love to cave in North Alabama. Tumbling Rock is one of the best beginners caves around that area. Its a gated cave, and the only problem is the property owner charges $7 a head to go caving there. I've led a bunch of trips for people at my work to that cave, so if you are interested in going there, I am willing to help you out.

I am the Alabama Caving Liaison for the National Speleological Society Youth Groups Committee.
I would be interested in helping out your group on your caving trip. I can cave all week if it comes to it.
