Yesterday was a great to be in a great cave & that is just what I did. I tagged along with the Dogwood City Grotto to Snail Shell Cave for the full trip plus the 2400' ft swim one way!!! Let me tell ya that swim just one way is a kick in the rear! We had to go back the same way so it was twice the fun ;D Nothing like having fun under ground with some good friends. Just thought I would share with yal what I did this weekend. How about yall?

Well tncaveres, Saturday morning after the completion of a "must do" household chore we headed to DeSoto Falls to watch the annual Huntsville Cave Rescue Unit (HCRU) Tyrolean Traverse. Click HERE for photo's. We were in the neighborhood so after the Traverse we stopped by to visit Gail Wilbanks for awhile in Rising Fawn, GA. Its always a pleasure to visit with Ms. Gail! After leaving Gail's house we stopped by the Mexican Restaurant in Kimball and finally we arrived back at the homestead around (?) 8:30 or 9:00 p.m. Sunday morning we headed to Hubbards Cave to continue some work on the cave survey, check leads and take a few photo's. When we arrived at the cave Bill Walter was already there and us three turned out to be the 'motley' crew for the day. We swore not to tell what we found, so for now, I can say no more. Yes, it was a great day to be underground!
