That just reinforces how much I hate cable ladders! Glad they got out OK regardless. Dudes - I'm with Beaner, cable ladders bite the big one man! Glad they pulled the guy out though. ;D

Righteous comments dude!
Outstanding idea tncaveres! It would be most embarrasing to call for a rescue. Having the brains and gear to self - rescue is what makes you a real caver instead of a friggin cave tourist man.

Woa, Lucky for the trapped cavers they are all there. No need for the Chuckster to boogie on down to the rescue then!
I hope they all get out safe.

I was on the communications team, but I was one of the "small" people there, so I got to pull one of the patients through "The Stovepipe". I thought I heard you say that you helped pull Eric through the Stove pipe when I was talking to you in the parking lot after the mock rescue. In addition to being small, you're quick. How did you get through the stove pipe with out me seeing you. Good job. I was really impressed. Were you able to get him through with just 2 cavers? The rescue of Eric went really well. We had a second patient and I guess there were a few concerns about safety when it came to her extraction from the cave. All in all it was a great succes and personally so much was learned. I want to thank everydoby that helped set the weekend up Awesome dudes! 100 Karma points each for all the dudes and dudettes involved! ;D

Hi Lynn and Brian and Charles... I am currently in my hotel room getting ready for tomorrows presentation on Schroeders Pants Cave. I arrived earlier today and went straight to the NSS bookstore to meet the ladies there and also Speleobooks and met Emily. Had great talks with all before heading off to hear a few sessions. Then earlier tonight all met up for the evenings entertainment. What a beautiful area up here in the Pacific NorthWest. Tomorrows presentation should be interesting as just recently, one of the guys that has been slamming me here in the forum decided to come and tell us all "what really happened". He speaks after my presentation. In any event , I'm going to tell what I know based on the information that has been told to me by those that were there that week in '65 and also what I have gathered from the Mitchell family. As was told to me the other night, no need to get defensive as everything that "they" have been saying is irrelevant to the "big picture". Well I must get back to doing a lil' last minute work on my presentation plus it is getting late. Wish you all could have been here to meet. Hopefully our paths will cross one of these days. Christian Lyon Christian Dude! Glad you made it there man. Good karma should follow you through this journey. I'm totally sure everything is cool with most cavers man so don't get all twisted up about it all if a few want to bring things down. I can't friggin wait to see your presentation as soon as it will be out in public. Let us know how things went today man. Your good Karma has been strong all through this deal - for sure its all good. Stay cool... Later man, Charles

This sounds like an awsome place to visit! It's so totally out there I had to Google just to find out it's in the Phillipines man! It sounds like the Japs used to occupy the place back in WW2. Sweet! I bet there's like thousands of war relic things all over the place! That and super-Karst man! I'll have to scope that place out sometime fer sure!

Totally Cool free caver database dudes! It's awesome to find cavers that share their hard work with other caver dudes like this. These guys are righteous! Add this to the free cave survey software out there and you can rock on with cave surveys on the cheap! All I need now is some Dude to give me a new Dell for free heh heh! ;D Any opinions of the free database or survey software out there? Inquiring dudes want to know!

Totally Bogus Dudes! Cavin aint about headlines, who done what, or who got credit man. It's about exploring the freakin outer limits of yourself and the caves you visit. It's about radiating good Karma to each other and enjoying mother earth together man! Takin pictures of a dead caver dude is definitely bad karma! It's freaking bogus. No respect man. Getting the dead caver dude's bones out for his family to finally deal with is totally good karma. Tons of respect there. Dudes - act like men and get over the punk-a$$ online family feud! Mitchell was a real caver who died doin' what he loved. He deserves to friggin rest in peace and not be the center of a friggin b*tch slappin contest. Chill Chucky Out

Dude, Be sure to let us know if they can get Mitchells remains out. That would be totally good Karma for his family. If it were my remains though - I'd like them left in the cave. Anyways it's a gnarly but cool story Christian! Good luck with it dude!
