Well, I hadn't intended to, never really gave it any thought. I love taking photos on cave trips, but my photos are pretty much a representation of the cave trip and the cavers along for the trip. I haven't tried for the super high quality images obtained by backlighting or special flash features...or at least not yet. I guess I could print a couple of photos out and enter them in this year's Photo Salon.

I've seen your photo's on the forum and have often wondered why you haven't entered some of them. You don't necessarily have to use special techniques to produce a pleasing photo.

FYI - the directions to the SKTF cleanup are slightly off. It is exit 161 on I-24 near Haletown instead of 171. It is the exit on the east side of the big bridge across Nickajack lake. The site is along the river on highway 41between exit 161 and exit 174. Highway 41 runs between these two exits.

Lynn and I just got back from the SERA WBM and had a nice time seeing all our friends. We shared our brief free time with U.S. Caver Sharon and her daughter there (it is quite busy being a SERA officer at the WBM) as well as many other SERA cavers we have come to know like Avis and Gerald Moni, Mark Joop, Anne Elmore, Martha Mills, Glen Mills, Jay Clark, Bill Stringfellow John Hoffelt, Cheryl Pratt, etc. Everyone enjoyed the banquet and guest speaker (Larry Matthews from Nashville Grotto) and worked together to do our small part to help the SERA region of the NSS. Chattanooga Grotto did a great job of hosting the event! Special thanks to Butch Feldhaus and all the people that worked hard to help out all day long. I would like to also thank the NSS bookstore for setting up and selling their great supply of books etc! In summary I have enjoyed my year as SERA Chairman and hope that some good was accomplished during my term. You truly do get out of things what you are willing to put in. Now to get some rest and head back for the SKTF cleanup Sunday morning!
