Begin forwarded message: March 20, 2007 Mammoth Cave National Park P.O. Box 7 Mammoth Cave, KY 42259 Dear park friend: The year 2016 marks the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the National Park Service. The NPS is presently taking comments on ideas/concepts that will help shape the agency for the next 100 years. It's a quick turnaround time, but comments can be made online. An explanation of the President's Centennial Initiative and the comment page can be found at www.nps.gov/2016 (click on Comment on the Future of Your National Parks; then click on Comment on Document). To facilitate comment, three questions are posed on the website: Imagine you, your children, or future generations enjoying national parks in 2016 and beyond. What are your hopes and expections? What role do you think national parks should play in the lives of Americans and visitors from around the world? What are the signature projects and programs that you think should be highlighted for completion over the next 10 years? We thought this opportunity might be of interest to you -- please forward this message to others who might also like to comment. Sincerely, Patrick H. Reed Superintendent

This is IMPORTANT! Speak up.
Why? So few voices do. A recent request for comments on the Ozark Riverways Management Plan generated only 274 comments from a 1.5 million annual visitor base.
Wanna be heard? Speak up. It only takes a half hour to make a BIG difference.
