I have started purchasing the necessary items to build myself a rope walkers system. And with all the equipment made today it hard to decide which works best. Can anyone give me some pointers on what they use; like single/double PMI Chest Roller vs. GGG Ropewalker Chest Harness or the Simmons Chest Harness/roller or the OR1 Stealth/H harness ? Does anyone use the GGG - Anti-Heelhang Strap innermountainoutfitters.net/catalogentry.php?page=all&catalogentryid=477&search=ropewalker&brand=GGG and how does it work? Tell me about your whole system. Thanks for your input.

Sorry I don't use a rope walker (yet) but there are many here who do. Hopefully some of them will reply to your questions.

Tell me about your whole system. Thanks for your input. I have recently purchased a new Double Bungee from Bruce at On Rope 1. I can tell you only what I prefer and how it has worked for me so far. I would spend a little extra cash on a hammock chest harness from OR1. It really makes the chest harness more comfortable on long climbs. It is especially advantageous to me since I weigh 205 lbs. www.onrope1.com/store/index.php?p=product&id=41&parent=19I would also suggest the Rock Exotica Chest Roller. It does not have a roller that has to be popped out, but just a simple swivel gate on the side, which makes for easy removal at the lip of the pit. Also an advantage for heavier folks. storrick.cnchost.com/VerticalDevicesPage/Misc/ChestBoxPages/Box818.html#anchor10018903I have removed my heel hang strap. Although I think it is prudent that you know my ropewalker is set up where I use a croll and frog chest harness as my progress capture device. In short, when I stop to rest, I sit in my harness with my weight in the croll attached to my seat harness like I would if I was frogging. No ascender is present above my chest roller. I climb with my hands free of ascenders. I wouldn't suggest removing the heel hang strap unless you are going to climb with a QAS in hand above your chest roller. The QAS is the only defense you have against a heel hang if your chest roller disengaged or failed. Good Luck
