All, I have just launched a new website dedicated to creating a universal resource for search and rescue. It uses the same software as Wikipedia and allows anyone to create and edit content for the site. As a former caver (from TN, GA, and FL), I would really like to have information on cave rescues added to the site. Anything you could add, whether it's links for the Resources section or actual articles on cave rescue would be much appreciated. The site is www.rescuewiki.comThank you in advance.

Perhaps some of the cave rescue teams will want to contribute to the wiki. A couple of locals teams that come to mind are the Huntsville Cave Rescue Unit www.hcru.org/ and East Tennessee Cave Rescue www.caves.org/grotto/etg/etcr.html

Thank you for your reply - I will be sure to contact both of the teams you suggested.

I suspect you will get some people to add content to your wiki whether they are in rescue organizations or simply have knowledge of what happened during rescues. It will be an interesting way to get information spread through the caving community as well as the rescue community. Each can learn a lot form the other.
Good luck with the wiki!
