back in 2001 I joined a few other cavers to explore a small cave in South, south west TN, this heavy air flow cave contained a small squeeze that some one had created in formation, being the biggest person on the trip the "if you can do it, we'll do it" challenge was issued and ........ as you can see I did it, these pics of me coming out were taken by Karen Marsh, the shirt did not survive, a memorial fund is still being taken, it was a good shirt, and will be missed by many, some one said it was a quiet shirt never maid noise never complained, the kind of shirt you want as a neighbor, a tragic loss indeed, and here in lies the dare, in honer of the shirt, some one please go back through the hole and lay claim to the virgin passage on the other side of the pit, all we ask is to be there to see it done, " in respect for the shirt, so it can finally have closer, and r.i.p.

Nice story Bull. The shirt that didn't make it out. Sometimes the good of the many out weighs the good of the one. It was either you and your buddies or the shirt. The shirt sacrificed itself so that all of you could cave again. I imagine if you had to save the shirt we would all know the cave as "Bull's Tomb" now. This story reminds me of a pair of caving underwear I had that made the ultimate sacrifice as well. Mud stains, holes, horribly disfigured elastic, and other even more disfiguring injuries I can't repeat in a public forum. It was truly grim. Alas the BVDs didn't make it. I still get tears in my eyes thinking about it. But I digress. Hail to Bulls shirt! You were indeed a good shirt...

Ok. NOW I remember why I don't have the guts to go into a wild cave. I sometimes have nightmares that take place in a setting very similar to the one in your photos. Now, a moment of silence for the shirt....

Ok I'm game! Bull if you can fit through that itty bitty tiny squeeze again - I will follow! In Honor of the Shirt, of course. ;D
