Welcome to the Discussion Board Plainasty. Pull up a chair and sit awhile. Make yourself at home and ask questions at will. I'm from Colorado........but there are lots of folks on here from your neck of the woods. Have you looked into joining a local grotto yet?

Welcome plainasty, go here to find a local grotto: www.nssio.org/find_grotto_overview.cfm?state=KYThe NSS is the national organization that all grottos belong to. You can find out more about them at www.caves.org or from a local grotto. Enjoy our forum and feel free to ask questions, post trip reports about caves or caving, and make yourself at home. There are a few others from KY on this forum you may hook up with.

thank you dr. beaner, i'll check into it. its so nice to find people with the same passion as me. my friends are tired of listening to me ramble on about the experiences i've had. perhaps you all will be more interested. by the way, the names mark.

Mark! you have been caving haven't you? In such a great cave area with entrances under federal buildings etc...You probably have almost stumbled into them just walking down the street! Just kidding! but yes there are many caves and cavers in your home town!

wow so you've got a few years under your belt eh?.. i'd still consider myself a novice as far as experience in different caves. although i do go through several in the area up to 4 times a week. but i probably started about three years ago and im so egar to learn and see as much as possible.
