This past Saturday, Casey and I went to Talucah Cave (AMG 47). This was Huntsville Grotto's monthly horizontal trip and due to a series of unfortunate events we just couldn't seem to get it together and arrived later than the rest of the group. No matter, the entrances to the cave are easily found and still hoping that we might catch up with at least part of the group we forged ahead. To make a long story short we were unable to catch up with the group, but went ahead and had fun doing a bit of exploring on our own. Here are some photos from the trip: Entrance 4 Pretty pool Some of the South passage that was mined for saltpeter during the Civil War.

Thanks, cool cave photo's! We've also had days where we just couldn't get it in gear and arrived late. Glad you two got to explore the cave!

Ditto. It seems like I am late for most caving trips...actually, its hard to remember ever having gone on time at all!
Good pictures. I'll have to check out that cave sometime.

Ha! Mike I love your "processing" thingy. Speaking of late, my husband's motto is that everything that happens Saturday is on "caver time", which usually means 1/2 hour late. Great photos and story Sharon!!
